My Little Girl book review December 10, 2008

This is not normally a book that I would buy; my wife handles kids books. And I am not really in the target demographic as I don’t listen to Country Music. But I really enjoyed the low-key playfulness of the father-daughter relationship in this book. Even though Tim McGraw’s name and face is on the book, there is no singing and the only concession to CM is the dad wearing a cowboy hat.
I liked the emphasis on just spending time with your kids and being imaginative together. My daughter (4) enjoyed it and wanted to read it several nights in a row. She liked the drawings and the playfulness, too.
This is a book I would recommend to Dad’s who have time to spend relaxing with their daughters or Mom’s who would like them to. It’s a fun book to read together.
